On Sunday, June 2, the Bloomingdale PTA hosted their annual Family Fun Day at the Walter T. Bergen School. This event is the biggest give back event of the year!  It’s the PTA’s way of saying thank you to families who worked hard volunteering and fundraising all year.

Dedicated volunteers rolled up their sleeves to set the stage for a day of endless fun. With over 600 eager participants registered, anticipation filled the air. As families streamed in, they were greeted by a medley of activities awaiting them.

The day featured giant inflatable duel slides, bounce house, face painting by the very popular Pixie Pop, balloon artist, sponsored by the Matthews Family, crafts with Bloomingdale teachers and so much more!

The Bloomingdale Fire Department joined the day with a spectacular wet down.  Kids in attendance were able run through a giant sprinkler on the Walter T. Bergen fields.  It may have been the biggest highlight of the day!

Thanks to DJ Nick, the day was filled with infectious beats.  A hula hoop contest and water balloon toss added an extra dash of competitive spirit, with prizes generously donated by Retro Froyo.

Hot Dogs, ice cream, Jersey Mikes subs, snacks & waters were offered to all attendees throughout the day.  Thank you to Jersey Mikes and the French Family for their generous donation of 6 sub catering boxes.  Thank you to E&S Foods of Whippany for their generous water donation to keep us cool all day long!

The spinning wheel table with prizes proved to be a big hit with all prizes being claimed! Thank you to the Aiosa Family for their donation of the spinning wheel.  Their donation has ensured this will be a continued tradition!

But the true stars of the day were the parents and student volunteers.  We can’t make special days like these happen without your support.  Whether you helped set up, clean up, hand out snacks, helped with games, check in or temporary tattoos, your time and talents don’t go unnoticed.

Family Fun Day isn't just an event—it's a celebration of community spirit, unity, and unforgettable moments.
